Take a guided walk through Belvidere's historic cemetery, dating back to 1834. Experience the town's Victorian era in a unique way. Your guide is "The Undertaker". His compelling and often humorous stories help visitors discover Belvidere's legendary famous and infamous citizens. Learn about Victorian era mourning and burial customs. Walk about the beautiful grounds and antique monuments.

This educational and entertaining tour draws rave reviews. Seven live re-enactors play the roles of long departed residents including Civil War Generals, Newspaper Editors, Dastardly Criminals and Grieving Widows. All will entrance you with their compelling stories and knowledge of the Victorian era and its customs. You can ask questions and even seek permission to pose for a photograph with the "dead". All the while be entertained by our accompanying musician, playing suitable selections befitting the occasion.

Four tours are scheduled during Victorian Days at the Belvidere Cemetery for Saturday, September 6th.
